Arrival Story:
I came from a ragdoll breeder in Texas. We don't know why I was there exactly. The lady said she wanted pictures, but then she never contacted us to get them. Also I had been declawed in front which is kind of odd. So maybe I was a "return" - I don't remember. I loved my new family immediately and got very upset when I had to go to the vet because I thought they were taking me back to my breeder. I actually didn't mind the vet when we got there.

Bio:
I am white because one of my ancestors waaaay back was a Turkish Angora! But it has been so long that I am still registered as a purebred raggie. Mama calls me Crazy Harry because she figures with those 2 conflicting breeds in me I'm probably bipolar. MOL! And she calls me Harry Berry because it rhymes and because some of my ancestors were named Blueberry because of our blue eyes.

    After going to the vet and getting the old food back, now I've decided I like the new food and I'm eating it again.

    What? Can't a cat change his mind around here?

    But first, Newman feels REALLY good. I heard a rumor his mom was thinking of giving him away so I told her I wanted him! Can you imagine how much fun we'd have? I don't believe her really though. Moms talk like that sometimes.

    Anyway, last night I climbed into the silverware drawer and then behind it, and I got stuck. I guess I'm not as skinny as I thought! Mama had to come help me get out. She blames Daddy for not closing it tightly in the first place.

    I ate lots of my dry food and now I'm playing mousie!! I hadn't felt much like playing mousie the last few days so it's like the first time!


    My Vet Adventure

    Mama put me in the carrier with some treats and I was SHOCKED when she took me to the car and Daddy didn't come with. I didn't know she could drive the car! I never saw her do that because I usually weigh too much and Daddy comes along to carry me.

    Today though he had work to do so we headed out alone. Also I lost 2 pounds so I was easier to handle. I meowed all the way to the vet because I wasn't sure Mama could handle the car alone, though.

    The vet said I was "strikingly gorgeous" with Paul Newman eyes. And he's a guy!

    But he said I appear healthy. No worms or kid knee problems, so he thinks I just don't like the wet food. He said I'm really about the right weight for my height now, but he's pretty sure I'll gain some when I have food I like and that's ok.

    So he told Mama to feed me the food I like, and if I keep losing weight to come back for blood tests. He said some cats will actually starve themselves to death if they don't like the food. Mama explained that she's never had a picky eater before, so this is a new experience for her. He agreed that Maine Coons will eat just about anything *snicker*. Boy has he got that right!

    Then Mama drove us home and I was very quiet because she got us to the vet ok, so I figured we'd get home.

    Now Allie is chasing me around wanting to give me a bath but I don't want her to!
