Meowlo, everyone!
As most of you know, I'm the energetic one of the bunch. I'm a constant talker and pretty much want something to keep me busy at all times, be it food, a toy, daddy, Barnaby, TomTom... anything!
The other day Daddy came home from work and we all rushed to the door to greet him as usual. Then we do our usual going nuts, playing, doing our litterbox activities (Daddy is sure we do lots of sleeping while he's at work).
While he was coming upstairs, I was in one of the rooms getting ready to do my "business" in the box. Daddy turned the corner and out I came from the room running with a little "poop" on my bum! It fell off and rolled on the floor. MOL.
Then daddy went into the room and noticed there were two other "poops" on the floor right in front of the litter box. They looked fine and there was no evidence of worms or any type of problems that he could see.
Daddy's heart sank. He immediately remembered Little Bo Peep, who had litter box problems most of her life and it was pretty much determined that they were due to neurological problems from having a possible liver shunt.
You see... my daddy considers me his "little girl". He has a special place in his heart for me (he told me! MOL) because I'm the only girl now and I fill a small part of his heart that belongs to Bo Peep.
Well... he didn't sleep well that night and kept checking all around the house to see if I had any accidents and there were none. The next day (yesterday), when Daddy came home, he ran upstairs to check and the litterboxes were all empty from the morning (because we sleep all day). Shortly after he got home, we all started our "routines" and I went in the litter box and did all my business just fine! I even hit the box this morning before he left.
He gave me such a big kiss and hug this morning... knowing that I probably got startled or something and a couple poops pushed out on my way out of the box! After all, they don't call me the "Energizer Kitty" for nothin!
Whew! Daddy says we're worse than non-fur children at times! MOL
Till next time!
Love and purrrs,

Meowlo everyone!
Believe it or not, a few weeks ago I had to make my FIRST annual visit to see Dr. Oster!
My dads were on staycation (vacation at home! MOL), and they got a postcard that said it was time for both TomTom and I to go to the vet..... so my dads made two appointments. One for me and one for TomTom the next day.
Now, when I was a kitty.. I LOVED going to see Dr. Oster! I would cry for a short bit in the car, but then calm down and be the perfect little lady the entire time.
WELL! What a difference a year makes! My dad's didn't expect to have any problems with me, but still did the feliway (sp?) spray just in case. I headed out the door in the cage and was loaded into the backseat with my one dad while the other one drove. Dr. Oster's office is about 10 minutes away, so it's not a long drive.
One the car started moving, I got very scared and very verbal. I was banging my head against the cage door, digging up the soft liner and crying like mad! My daddy did his best to to calm me down, but there was no way I was going to.
Within that 10 minutes, my panic escalated to the point of constant crying and then right before we got to the vets, I started panting. Daddy got extremely nervous seeing me in that state. He was reminded of BoBo's last day when she was so stressed and panting... and later on that day, she was gone.
I calmed down a bit when we got out of the car, but was still worked up a bit. When Dr. Oster came into the room, she immediately noticed that I wasn't in a very good mood.. MOL. The exam was a quick one along with my shots. I didn't want to be handled, but wanted to check out the room! I was given a clean bill of health (except that the Dr. thought I might be a little bit overweight... shhhh.. please don't tell Barnaby since I get on him about his weight!)
The ride home wasn't much better... and it's actually making daddy think seriously about me going back to the vet each year. He's not too keen on the shots and even less keen on the stress the ride gave me. He's going to talk to Dr. Oster in October when Barnaby goes in for his visit about whether or not I should go back every year or maybe enticing Dr. Oster to come visit US once a year! We'll see. Either way, I do love Dr. Oster, but hate the car ride!
TomTom did better than I did, but still was a bit stressed during the drive. He did a lot of howling and meowing, but calmed down when they got to the vet. The Dr. mentioned that TomTom might be a bit overweight too.... the same as I am... about a pound. Based on the amounts of food we eat, Dr. Oster said not to do anything about cutting down on our diets or anything like that. And we're all pretty active kitties... so daddy is going to try to make us even a little MORE active!
This past weekend, my daddies were outside working on the yard. Every once in a while they let us out on the front porch because we love it so! It's a small enclosed porch with screens all around, so there's no chance of us getting out. We LOVE to sit on the sills and bask in the sun! While we were out there, my dad noticed something on my bum that looked like a couple pieces of hay. He thought nothing of it and tried to brush it off. Two days later we were on the porch and he saw it again! He picked one off my bum and it MOVED! It was a WORM! ACK!
He checked his kitty vet book and there was a picture of a cat's bum with the same worm on it... a TAPEWORM! OMC! As he read on, he saw that it's quite common for outdoor kitties and kitties who have fleas. Well! I'm not an outdoor kittie and I don't have fleas or eat rodents. Daddy called the vets and they said I could have eaten a flea on the porch or by an open window! They gave daddy a BIG pill and a half of Drontal. That was an experience.. MOL. I gave my daddies a hard time getting it down. Oh, how I wish Barnaby would have filmed it for Catster... MOL.
Everything is fine now...no more nasties coming out of my bum! Hopefully, that won't happen again.
If any of our friends reads this diary, daddy would love your input on yearly vet trips for us since we're indoor kitties. As you probably know, Maggie and Bernie only went to the vet as kitties and they lived to be 15-1/2 and 17. Daddy doesn't like the shots, but the vet said by law we have to have rabies shots.
Hope everyone is having a nice summer! I'm off to crawl under the throw on the couch. No sun today! :(
Love and purrs,
wormless ^Willow^

Meowlo, everyone!!
Today is a VERY special day at our house! It's my big brother Barnaby's SECOND birthday! No wonder he's been strutting all around the house this morning like he OWNS it! Little does he know that *I* do! MOL!
Also, one year ago today was my GOTCHA day! My daddies can't believe that I've been here a year already... but I can. :)
The house is nuts... it's a beautiful day here so Daddy has ALL the windows open and TomTom, Barnaby and I are going crazy with all the nice cool breezes, sun and all of the TOYS all over the house! The first thing Daddy did when he woke up this morning was give us all big kisses and empty the toy jars all around the house! There's mice, tinsel balls and crinkle balls all over the place... we can hardly contain ourselves!
Off to celebrate some more! Daddy's uploading some new pictures for our pages.
Have a GREAT Saturday, everyone! And Brofur Barnaby... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Love and purrs,
^Willow^
