Arrival Story:
My boyfriend had locked his keys in his car outside my house and while we were trying to pry open his window with a coat hanger, we heard a scared little meow across the street. It was a tiny little kitten, not more than two months old, walking down the sidewalk. She was scrawny and frightened, but didn't try to run away when Paul went to pick her up. I already had two cats and a dog, but I couldn't resist her big, sad eyes. So we took her in and fed her, and I'd planned to find a home for her, but she grew on me and now I couldn't think of giving her away.

Bio:
We lost our dear Alexius to FeLV last month (May 2005). She appeared to be a healthy kitty until one day, she got really sick and stopped eating. The vet diagnosed her with leukemia and suggested euthanaisa. We opted to give her a chance to get better, and she did for about two weeks. But then she got sick again, and her mouth filled with ulcers, causing her to be unable to eat. That's when we decided to end her suffering. She was put to sleep on May 31, 2005. It was the hardest thing we've ever had to do.
