Arrival Story: We brought Pixie home on Saturday, June 28th. My husband had gone to the pet store the week before and told me that a rescue organization had an abundance of kittens, so I went to see them the following week. Mary, who also fostered Pebbles and Joy, asked me to take Pixie (then named Connie) home for a week to foster her. Yeah, right! Mary thought she was using psychology on me. After playing with the kittens for a couple of hours, I went home and casually told my husband about my time with the kittens, how Pixie had unique markings, and what Mary said. He then mentioned that Quincy, our dog, chewed and broke his retractable leash during their walk, so now we had an excuse to go back to the pet store! They waived the adoption fee since they knew us, but we left them a donation in their jar anyway.
Bio: Pixie and her mama and brother were pulled from a kill-shelter when the kittens were three weeks old. Her brother has been adopted but her mama, a gray tabby with white paws, is still with Mary. She was about 10 weeks when we got her so we gave her the birthdate of April 15, 2008. Tax Baby!

I'm a finalist in the Scaredy Cat category! In the photo, Mercy and I are on top of a small hallway table. Mercy was there first and I guess when I decided to join her she felt that there was only enough room for one of us and that it should be her!
Mercy is no Bruce Lee because she never touched me!
I was tagged by Kibbles. My tag games usually involve my siblings, but I'll answer the questions though I won't be tagging any friends:
Here are the five things I am thankful for:
1. I am thankful for having a home, food, and lots of siblings to play with.
2. I am thankful for not having ringworm anymore!
3. I am thankful for all my Catster friends and their families.
4. I am thankful for my Mom letting me sleep under the covers with her every night.*
5. I am thankful for being able to talk my parents into giving me treats just by running up to the treat cabinet!
If any of my friends who read this want to play this game, consider yourself tagged by me!
*So, I've been giving Mom backaches and shoulder pain because she's been sleeping on her back with me on top of her. I still sleep under the covers with her, but now I want to be between the comforter and the bedsheet, only! I'm also better about not biting her fingers so hard between licks. After biting Mom's thigh once, she's kinda glad I want to sleep on top of the bedsheet!
I'm looking forward to getting some turkey and my costume should not let my parents forget!
That's why I'm a Flying Monkey! I think I'm the head flying monkey in this house, so it was the purrfect role for me, even though those wings of mine were from a bat hat. MOL!
