Rosie will eat anything...and that's where we have to be careful because of her condition. She even likes hot sauce!!

Arrival Story:
Simon, my Siamese kitten, was taking up all my time and attention. Hubby needed a friend. So, we went to PetSmart to see who we could find that would fill that bill. There were many beautiful cats there...but in one cage, there was this scraggly tiny little tabby, with her nose poking through the bars....just taking in everything. Dogs were barking...it was frenetic, yet this little ragamuffin was enjoying the entire scene. I pretty much ignored her, because she was so ratty looking, and diverted my attention to the more beautiful sleek looking cats. But my husband would have no part of that. This cat caught his eye...her personality grabbed him...and she was IT! I shrugged my shoulders....after all, she would be his cat...right? Not my choice for sure. So, we filled out the adoption papers making the promises to have her spayed, and keep her indoors which we already knew we would do. The rest is history....other than she even had a health problem....she had diarrhea, and was on medication....someone had taken her home before and brought her back because they couldn't be bothered. Well...we took her...problems and all.

Bio:
What a great girl she turned out to be. Although she had the health problems...she thrived. She never had an accident. She made up with Simon after he treated her so badly...She was such a good choice. Now, after nearly 15 years, we have discovered that her problem all along was probably IBD, and she now has lymphoma. She is back on medication...and doing well. Simon passed away in April...and we thought it was just grief...but she was due for her blood work...and found out the bad news. So, hopefully, we'll be able to keep her around for awhile. In the meantime, she is having to endure a new addition, little Isabella Simone. She's adapting. Poor Rose has had a lot of stress these past couple of months...but she's getting alot of extra love and affection. Rosie took her final kitty nap today at 4:30 pm PDST, June 16, 2008. We are both very sad at losing her, but are so much happier to have known her and to have had her company for the past almost 15 years. We grieve her loss deeply.
