I was not in the mood for anyone's nonsense today. I sat at the top of the catwalk and slept for most of the day.

I have been at the shelter for several years now, and in those years many a cat has tried to be Top Cat, and ultimately that cat has been, and will always be ME. This new guy, whatever his says his name is, Edward Horton, he just doesn't get it. I've screamed at him a few times about this already, and he's pushing his luck. I miss the other human; this one is not my favourite. She picked out terrible food for us today, and she keeps trying to sit beside me, what part of aloof doesn't she understand? Just because I let her pet me once, doesn't mean that it will be a regular occurrence.

I've tolerated one of the Orange Girls for far too long. I've bided my time, I've been patient, I hoped that she would stop behaving badly. Today I showed her who's boss. It was necessary, and I think she has learned her lesson... at least for a little while.

The blonde shelter human touched me today, she seems very excited to be permitted to pet me, so I let her. This time. We'll see how I feel on Wednesday.
