Arrival Story:
Bean was given to me by a friend in July 2001 for my birthday. He was 6 months old and came from the local humane society. He was SOOO cute and had a pink bow around his neck which looked so cute in contrast to his beautiful "heather grey" fur. He drove me a little crazy at first with his meowing so I let him go outside. UGH! Now I have a cat who uses me only to eat and sleep as his real true love is the outdoors and hunting... UGH! I love him so much and it is truly the definition of "unconditional love" because I'd rather he stay inside with Moon and just be an indoor cat but I can't deprive him of the life that he loves. I pray for him everytime I let him out the door "God bless you and please bring you back soon and safe to me" and thank god, for the past 7 years, he has come home. Right now he is sleeping on my bed because the little tramp was out until 6am this morning :)

Bio:
Bean was an only child until 2007. Now he lives with Moon and Sunny. He adjusted well and I think he was used to other cats and dogs since he spends so much time outside.

Hi everyfur! My mom is trying to help Sunny's (our dog...gasp!) pal find a home for a kitten who adopted them...problem is...they can't keep it. SO...if any of you live in Louisiana and could give this guy a home, let me know. Mom will put you in contact with his current foster mom. P.S...We don't know if IT is a boy or girl.

I have been tracking a family of chipmunks all weekend. This morning, I noticed one had wandered away from the nest and was enjoying some nuts by the cherry tree. I could have just ran over and pounced on him but what fun would that be? I am such a skilled hunter; I have to make it a little fun and exciting...and a challenge. So...I went up into the ferns and I crouched down. I was pretty much camaflouged in there and I watched. I waited. I waited for Mr. chippy to run by and then I was going to SURPRISE him and jump out of the ferns.

Mom was watching me from the kitchen. She thought I looked so cute holed up in the ferns. She *thought* it would make a cute picture. She came outside with the camera. I tried to motion for her to be quiet; go away but just then Sunny (who was enclosed on the deck) barked at mom. Mr. Chippy looked at mom, looked at Sunny and darted across the yard. I was busy looking at mom and didn't see Mr. Chippy run by until he was past me. Then my head swung around. I looked at mom with sheer disgust and came out of my jungle. I walked over to the area where Mr. chippy ran but they all just mocked me. I went over to the patio and got a drink of water.
