Bosco is a Master at running by you to get into a room he's not supposed to be in, and he knows exactly where to bite people to make it hurt the most. If he's really mad, he'll bite you and give it a twist for good measure.

Arrival Story:
The shelter where we volunteer was having a particularly busy day. We saw they had brought the small black cat over from the clinic where he'd been checked out the week before. We'd seen him in the cage after he first arrived, and jokingly said we'd have to call him "Repete" because he looked like our cat Pete. Mom T was holding him. He was so sweet and stayed quietly in her lap for the longest time, and she fell in love. (It wasn't until later that we realized he had been so quiet because he had the very beginnings of an upper respiratory infection.) Mom T told Mom L that we had to take him home, then got up and walked toward the desk. Bosco decided he wanted down. It was against the shelter's policy to let the cats roam, so she held onto him and said, "No, honey, I'm sorry, you can't get down." Bosco responded with a quick snake bite to the face. Mom T hardly knew what hit her. All she knew was, blood was dripping down her face, and some people were headed our way to look at cats. She stuffed him in a cage and ran to the back to mop up with some paper towels. Mom T admits to wavering only slightly in her decision to bring Bosco home. The shelter finally closed after many adoptions that day... then we filled out the paperwork for one more, and he was ours.
Bio:
Mom L was sure we should put Bosco in the bathroom that first night so he'd have a "safe" place away from his new brothers and sisters, whom he'd just met. No, Mom T insisted, he'd be fine. Against her better judgement, Mom L went to bed without "catproofing" the bathroom and left him to mingle. After he started climbing into boxes two hours later, Mom L decided enough was enough and got out of bed to remove all the plants from the bathroom so Bosco could be put in there for the night. It was well after midnight when she finally scooped him up. Before she could take three steps she felt... something. She hadn't really even seen the cat move, but when she looked down at him, he sure looked mad. Then she felt a strange warm spot on her nose and her hand came away with blood on it. He'd nailed both of his new Moms in one day.
He doesn't bite much now, mostly only if you are going to pick him up and he doesn't want you to, and you hesitate, or if you don't give him Temptations when he really wants them.
Bosco can be as mean as a snake if he wants to, but can also be an absolute lovebug. He often curls up in Mom L's arms to sleep at night. He also bounds toward us when we get home and eagerly greets visitors.
