Arrival Story: Rufus and his family came to the shelter as 8 hour old kittens without their mom. They were bottle fed kittens and he was the only one of his litter to survive. I took him when he was seven weeks old while the girl that had been fostering him went to a wedding out of town and I ended up keeping him. He was very tiny, only about the size of a four week old. My male dog, Madison, fell in love with him and they were best buddies for years.

The Last Forum I Posted In: My sweet Friend Ashley Has Made Her Way To The Bridge.
The crate came out yesterday and we were all scared but Lucy was grabbed and disappeared for a while. I know my turn is coming though. I heard the staff person talking to someone about a "recheck" for me on my eyes and mouth. She cancelled my dental in August because I was sick and she's scared to put me under for a cleaning 'cuz I'm so small and old but my eyes run a lot and she's worried it is coming from bad teeth so I know I have to go back in November and see what they say. My staff is really worried about it 'cuz she has lost many friend kitties this year and just thinks it's a bad year for kitties. Hopefully I won't require anything more than eye drops on a regular basis. I don't want my teeth cleaned and pulled either.
Today I chased my sister Pandora and had her screaming for help. It was so much fun to do that. My staff person came and removed her from the situation - the big whiner. Then she picked me up and brought me back downstairs and told me to leave Pandora alone. Then she gave me a big hug. Guess that's because I've been so sick lately she found it good to see me pulling some of my old tricks again. I am glad she is happy. I feel really good today. Now it's time to sneak back upstairs and pick on Pandora again - hehe.
Today (7/13/09) is my 14th "purrday". I have been very sick this past month and I am feeling just wonderful today, which makes my staff person really happy. She says it was like getting a birthday present for herself to see me feeling so good. I celebrate with 297 other kitties on catster today, including my BFF Cubby - happy birthday, dude.
I have presents from my wink Sara. She got me a real neat ball that lights up and make bird noises when I play with it, I also got mousies and a box of salmon We Pity The Kitty Treats. I hope I am allowed to keep everything for myself. My stupid sister Sydney usually steals everything except food items - guess if I have to have anything though, food items are prime. The We Pity The Kitty Treats are wonderful. I highly recommend them to all kitties.
