Arrival Story:
Miss Grommet says, "My mom adopted my brother, MacKenzie, and me from the animal shelter in Orange County, CA, when we were both only six weeks old. She travelled quite a ways to get us because the shelters near our house did not have any kittens available for adoption, which was lucky for us, for sure. Partly because of the long distances we had to travel as infants, I don't mind riding in the car. In fact, I especially like it if Mom will let me out of my carrier to sit on her lap and look out the window while we're going. I just gently rest my front paws on that big wheel right in front of us and watch the world whizz past! Now that I'm older though, Mom doesn't let me sit on her lap so much while she's driving us. Everyone tells me I'm a very pretty girl, as you can see by my pictures. I have VERY big green eyes, (one of my babysitter's in CA called them googly eyes, but I don't like that description, thank you very much), a beautiful copper colored muzzle, a darling little salmon colored puma nose, and very dainty little cat feet that have little black dots on them. Mom says it looks like I'm wearing little black and white polka dot kitty high heels, hee hee. My brother and I get along pretty well and play together sometimes but not as much as when we were just kids. See, he's always been taller and longer than me, and since he got altered by the vet, he's put on quite a bit of weight. So, when we're roughhousing around, or both going for our flying feather at the same time, sometimes he accidently squishes me, which I really don't like one bit!! But, other than that, he's a pretty good guy, and very protective of his little sister, me, when my two outside boyfriends come calling for me on the patio; I sit on the window sill and look pretty for them, and my brother goes to the back door and growls at them to makes sure they behave themselves and don't stay too long!
