Prowling the yard.

I have decided to venture to the great outdoors. My Dad put in a "kitty" door so I can come and go as I please. I love laying in the weeping hibiscus and being completely engulfed in the greens. I also like stalking the chickens. They are terrified of me, the big & scary Kitty-zilla!

What was my mother thinking?

Ok, so I have this black dog for a sister. As far as sisters go she is ok I guess, even though she is a dog. Anyway, she never bothers me and could really care less when I am around. In fact, she prefers when I am not looking so that she can steal my food from my bowl!

My Mom and my human siblings have been gone for a week. They came home this morning and I was very excited to see them. Tonight when I came prowling around the house to see my Mom, I walked past what I thought was my canine sister. All of a sudden, the black dog jumped up and started to chase me while barking and growling. It was horrible. I was so freaked out I climbed the drapes to escape. My Dad,Grandma and my canine sister came to my rescue. It was then that I realized that there were two black dogs. My mother brought home another dog! What was she thinking?

At least my canine sister defended me. I hope this new dog learns his place in the family order soon! I am not on the menu, I am a member!

What a life!

Well, tomorrow is one week that I came to live with my new family. It has gone so fast and I feel like I have been here my whole life!

My new Dad installed a kitty door so I could go in and out of the lanai as I pleased. My new Mom showed me how to use it but I came back in as soon as I got outside. Why on earth would I want to go outside? I have been sleeping on Mom and Dad's bed every night. Tonight, I thought I would explore my options. I tried sleeping with my 2.5yr old human sister but she wouldn't stop talking to me. Can't get any sleep in her bed! So I have found a very warm and snuggly place with my 8yr old human brother. He called me a "bed hog"! Can you believe the nerve? Then he told Mom that I was purring too loud! Well, if he wasn't so darn snuggly I wouldn't be so happy and loud!

Mom had to go to the doctor this morning for an improved version of her allergy medicine. She says she has suddenly developed an allergy to me!? Of all the rediculous things to suggest. I was worried that might mean I am leaving my new home but Mom told me that no matter what, this was my home now and I am not going anywhere. She said she can deal with her allergies! I love my new Mom!
