Arrival Story: Well, I had just moved into an apartment and my cat, Felix had lived for 7 yrs with my mom's cat, Felicity who stayed with my parents. So, he was all alone and Id been thinking about maybe adopting a kitten friend for him. Well, one day I wandered into Petsmart with Brock to get bunny food, and a local no-kill cat shelter was there with a booth and a few of their avaliable cats. As soon as I saw Linus (then named "Mr. Wiggles") I was captivated by his good looks. I then saw he was in a cage with 2 other cats and was content as could be. He & his 2 cage mates were the only ones there who were unphased by Brock's presence! I read his description and it said he was playful, and young, and (obviously) good with other cats & dogs, so.. I adopted him! I actually didnt realize they were going to let me take him home right then, and this was a bit of a whim, but he has turned out to be the perfect cat for my situation. His former family surrendered him to a kill shelter in Spokane because they had to move. It came his time for euthanasia and OASIS for animals stepped in and rescued him. I dont understand how anyone would give this cat up, no matter what the situation.

Bio: He is everything I wanted & more! I originally wanted to get a kitten because I wanted to train/socialize it to be outgoing & social, and get it used to the dogs, and also because kittens are so active, hopefully encourage Felix to play more, but Linus turned out to be exactly what I was looking for, and I didnt have to deal with any of the annoying kitten stuff! ;) He loves people, he's calm in new situations & out-going, (total opposite of Felix), EXTREMELY playful, respectful of Felix, and totally unphased by the 2 crazy herding dogs he lives with. And (THANKFULLY!) Felix warmed up to him very quickly. Unfortunately, he had URI when I adopted him, and had to be kept away from Felix, and locked in the bathroom most of the time for 3 weeks until he recovered. He has a beautiful thick, plush coat, and you can vaugely see little white booties on his feet. His meow is both soft and deep, very unique. He is a big cat, and became a bit soft after being neutered, but he is perfect for squeezing. He is extremely playful, and took a bit of getting used to when I first brought him home since I was used to living with two 8 year old cats. But he is such a joy and wonderful sorce of entertainment, and now he has Charlie to play with, tons of toys, and 2 huge scratching posts.
