It's Good to be a Goddess

I love being a goddess!!!

My mommy has always been interested in a big word, she'll have to spell it for you--archaeology. (Goodness, what a word!!). It means the scientific study of ancient civilizations and the people who lived then.

Well, I wasn't interested in any of that (ancient history you know, MOL!) until Mommy told me that in Ancient Egypt, kitties were WORSHIPPED as GODS and GODDESSES!!!! Well---that definitely got my attention!

Yes, they had a very powerful cat-goddess named Bastet (or Bast). Cats were considered very holy and divine.

I like that--don't you??? Forget that silly slogan "cats rule'---instead say, "We were once Gods, and we have never forgotten it!!!"

No wonder our families bow down to us, become our willing slaves, and will do anything in the world for us.

WE ARE SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And we must never allow our humans to forget that!!

I have been a very sick kitty (mild hyperthyroidism and severe heart disease). Now, I HAVE gotten some excellent medical care (or so says Mommy--I think they are evil because they always want to stick me with needles--uugghhhhhhhhh!!!). BUT then I realized that I am a descendant of goddesses, and already I began to feel better.

I feel SO MUCH BETTER NOW!!!! :-) Mommy would probably say it's the medicine (awful stuff I have to take twice a day)---I say it's because goddesses cannot stay sick long.

After all---we are IMMORTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY for us!!!

WE WERE ONCE GODS---AND WE MUST NEVER FORGET THAT!!!

Now if I could only convince Mommy of that MOL! ;-)
