She's usually far too busy sleeping to play with toys. She does sometimes like catnip toys, she'll bat at a feather teaser, and she'll bat around crumpled paper on the kitchen floor, but all of that is very very rare.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Under my desk lamp, on top of laundry, and in open dresser drawers.

Favorite Food:
Mattie eats Taste of the Wild dry food and Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul wet food. Temptations Hairball Treats are her favorite.

Arrival Story:
I adopted Mattie on October 3, 2007. I found her on Petfinder and went to go see her a few days later. I don't really know what her story is, but she must have been someone else's pet because she is de-clawed.

Bio:
We don't know her exact birthday but she isn't that old. Out of all of our pets, she is the oldest and the one that we have had the longest. The shelter described her as "mellow and laid back" but a more accurate description would have been "grumpy and lazy." She likes her alone time and isn't one to cuddle, but will let you pet her on her terms. On rare occasions, she will plop down next to you and flop on her side so that you will pet her. She's kind of sweet and chirpy in the morning, but only because she wants food. Mattie's named after one of my favorite childhood books, Matilda by Roald Dahl.
