She's usually far too busy sleeping to play with toys. She does sometimes like catnip toys though.

On top of laundry, on the bed, and under the bed.

Favorite Food:
Mattie eats Taste of the Wild dry food and various wet foods (Chicken Soup, Wellness, Blue Buffalo Spa, Avoderm, etc.). She really likes Temptations Hairball treats.

Arrival Story:
I adopted Mattie on October 3, 2007. I found her on Petfinder and went to go see her a few days later. She was at a vet's office that rescues cats and dogs from local shelters. I don't really know what her story is, but she must have been someone's pet for a while because she's de-clawed.

Bio:
I don't really know how old Mattie is. Out of all of our pets, she is the oldest and the one that we have had the longest. The shelter described her as "mellow and laid back" but a more accurate description would have been "grumpy and lazy." She likes her alone time and isn't one to cuddle, but will let you pet her on her terms. On rare occasions, she will plop down next to you and flop on her side so that you will pet her. She's kind of sweet and chirpy in the morning, but only because she wants food. Mattie's named after one of my favorite childhood books, Matilda by Roald Dahl.
