Buttons was still young here, he was enjoying being where I was sitting and watching television.

Buttons at the age of 1 6 a few months before he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. His hair was growing out from his summer clip.

He was in the top of their huge cat tree and watching a light flash (from my hand) on the ceiling. They all loved that and I used a flashlight after noticing them watching a reflection do the same thing once.

Buttons loved everything and everybody, he was a very special cat.

Pet-Peeves:
He had no peeves, if another kitty tried to eat from his bowl, he simply changed to another bowl himself. He was very sweet.

Favorite Toy:
All my cats loved the fishing pole toy and they loved for me to flash light spots around the room for them to watch.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Near his Mom, couch, bed, recliner, wherever his Mom was, Buttons was too.

Favorite Food:
All my cats eat IAMS dry and some canned food. Buttons was the only one who loved fish canned cat food.

Skills:
Yes, he was fantastic at being loving, kind and gentle.

Arrival Story:
Buttons chose me. I went to pick up a black cat from a litter a lady had and I was going to "choose" a blue one for myself. I held them all but I picked up Buttons first. He loved me immediately, he cuddled. When I put him down to hold the others, he never left the side of my foot. So, Buttons came home with me and got his name as we made the one hour ride home from where he was born.

Bio:
Buttons was born to a black Persian female bred to a blue Persian Champion. She had only one black kitten which we had spoken for before they were born. He was always healthy but developed hip dysplasia at around the age of 9 but walked well enough and jumped for several years with it. At the age of 15, he could no longer walk on floors that were not carpeted, he would fall over on his rear and he had a lot of trouble trying to get in and out of the litter pan. Out of love for him and the pain I knew he must be feeling, I had him euthanized. I will always hold dear and loving memories of Buttons, he was very, very special to me.

My Life with Mom


Life was very good at my house!

In the beginning, I chose Mom and it was love at first sight. She came to pick a blue kitten, held me first and I never left her side while she held the other four in the litter. It was me obviously, the others wiggled and squirmed and I sat by her foot, looked at her as if to say, it's me, just go ahead and say so. I loved her and she loved me from that first moment. She petted me between each of the others she held and I went home with her. My black brother went home with us too for my human sister.

During my life with Mom, I was always where she was if she was sitting or lying down. If she was working, I stayed where I was and napped or just watched what was going on. At night, I went to bed with her, she did not take me, I went all by myself. I liked to sleep beside her head and often would put a paw out on her face to touch her. I knew somehow, that she needed that extra love I was showing her. During the cold winters, she would wake up to find me curled around the top of her head, keeping her warmer. Sometimes she would say too warm and move me beside her instead of letting me stay there. Sometimes she would reach up and pet me and say, good boy, keeping Mommie warm.

Mom and I had a very special connection and that is why she felt she had to give me my very own separate page other than including me on the bridge kitties page. I love you Mom, I loved you then and I love you now. Mom says, "I love you still my Buttons".
