He could catch food pellets in his mouth. We threw them and he caught them in his mouth! Rarely did he miss, only if the throw was bad.

Arrival Story:
A friend of mine and I got Chauncy from a local pet shop. We had plans to eventually get a female Persian and breed them, but that never came to fruition.

Bio:
Chauncy Aram Jesper was his full name. He was a real sweetie. At first he lived with my friend, but when that didn't work out Chauncy came to live with me. When he was little, I put a chair beside my waterbed so he could get up on it. He was afraid at first and once up on the waterbed, he stayed right by the edge until he got used to it. I went to college in NC, and for the first year I was gone Chauncy stayed with my parents. The next year he went with me. I had a leash and harness for him and he loved to go outside. When I picked the leash and harness up he would follow me around, purring! After college, we moved back to Florida. When I got married, Chauncy got a new sister, Athena, my husband's cat. Then came Jewel, Velvet and Sidney. Chauncy was more curious about the "strange" carrier I borrowed to bring Sidney home than he was about another new cat! When I worked for my vet, I noticed that Chauncy had gradually lost weight over the years (he was 7), so we did blood work. Chauncy was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure. We changed his food to prescription food, Science Diet K/D, and he lived for another year and a half. On December 27, 1993, I had to make the most difficult decision of letting him go.
