Arrival Story:
Poor Jeepster has a sad story - we are hoping she will have a happy ending! Her owners brought her into the vet, not sure what was wrong with her...it turned out that she had developed diabetes. Even though diabetes is completely manageable, it scared her owners (who had had her for a LONG time - nearly 13 years!!) so much that they asked to please have her euthanized!!! Our vets refused to euthanize her - she is otherwise healthy and happy and her diabetes can be controlled! We took her in at Infinite Hope, and are now hoping to find a permanent -or even a foster home for her.

Bio:
Jeepster is sweet as a peach, although a little on the lazy side! :) She spends most of her day napping, but will never turn down some attention, and particularly likes having her belly rubbed. Head rubs and chin strokes are good too! Jeepster's diabetes is currently under control through her diet, and our volunteers and vet staff will happily talk to anyone interested about what is involved in her care and what kind of dietary needs she has. A real lap girl, Jeepster seems to smile from within and is always happy. She's very gentle and would probably be good with gentle children or other gentle animals. Her high-energy days are behind her at this point - she is more than happy to lie in your lap or gaze out a window all day - just some love , a cozy cushion for napping, and attentive care are all she needs to be a wonderful companion to you!
