Arrival Story:
We found Prance as a wild kitten on Halloween 1999. He was under-nurished, dehydrated, and very skinny. We kept him in the garage for a week while we tried to find his owners. No one answered to our 'cat found' flyers, so we decided that he must have been from a wild litter. We brought him into the house and he quickly learned to use the litter box and not to tear up the curtains or couches. Prance nows lives partly outside and partly indoors, (mostly the basement where he sleeps).

Bio:
Prance does remain a wild cat and only comes into the house to eat and sleep. Also, a lady at the post office recently said that Prance is a 'tuxedo cat' because of his black and white coloring. She mentioned that some 'tuxedo cats' have bad temperments, which would explain a lot. During the day Prance stays outside and hunts around the neighborhood, always being home in time for dinner. Prance also has constant mood swings. He'll come up to you and rub against your leg likes he wants you to pet him. But as soon as you bend down to touch him, he becomes aggressive and bites or swats at you. He does have his moments when he is very lovable and lets you pet him, though. He also loves to taunt our dog, Abby, by sitting at the top of the stairs, where he knows that she isn't allowed. Prance feels that we are lucky to have him as a pet and we should feel honored to have him in our house. As mean as Prance can be at times, I still love him with all my heart.
