Arrival Story:
I was living with my husband (boyfriend at the time) in an apartment complex in Daytona. There were wild cats all over the place. You'd see a kitten that had been hit by a car at least once a week. Armand was a fuzzy little bugger that hung out under the stairs. I was able to feed him and after a few weeks I could pet him while he ate. He was obviously wary of me, though. So I went down one day with a pair of leather gloves on and a towel. I grabbed him up, wrapped him in the towel and ran him upstairs while he screamed, bit, scratched and peed all over the place. He was nasty mean for a couple of months. We would spray him with a water bottle every time he growled or acted mean. Now he is the sweetest cat. He loves everyone. It's nice to know that he'll never be found dead in the parking lot by the maintanance people and thrown in the trash.

Bio:
Armand has medium-length hair. As a kitten, he started out a nice, solid, dark black. Hence being named after Armand the vampire in "Interview With the Vampire" played by Antonio Banderas. Armand's hair was long, silky and jet-black. (mmmmm :P ) He is not declawed. I worked at a vet-tech and saw what "really" happens when a cat is declawed. I don't think I'd like to have the tip of my finger removed, bone and all :o(
