Arrival Story:
After I moved out of the dorms in college, I searched long and hard for an orange cat (not sure why I wanted orange). After 5 shelters and 6 petstores, I came across this little fluffy orange thing that the petstore said was part Persian (vet said more likely a Maine Coon mix). At the time, $50 was a lot to spend on a cat, but I decided to hold him anyway. He started purring and bit my chin. It was love.

Bio:
My sweet Bob snuck out of the house last August and was attacked by a dog. He hung on for 5 days at the vet with brain swelling. When I walked in on his last day, he finally was aware that it was me and lifted his head. An hour after leaving, the vet called and his lungs had filled with fluid and blood. He died in my arms. He was 8. It has been a year as of August 8th, 2004 and it still hurts.
