Arrival Story:
After the unexpected death of my son's cat, Ozzy, I was looking in the newspaper on Labor Day, 1998, and saw the ad from the breeder who owned her that she was up for adoption, so I called and went to see her. The breeder had purchased her from the top Himalayan cattery in the country. She is very small for a Persian, not even 6 lbs! Bothe her litters had to be delivered by C-section, so the breeder spayed her and was planning to keep her, but the other females didn't like her, so she was giving her up. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her! She wqs very shy. As soon as I took her home, she hid under the recliner in the living room. I put her food, water & litter next to the chair, hoping she would eventually come out. A couple of days later when I looked under the chair she was gone. My son & I looked all over for her with no luck--I was beginning to panic. We kept calling her name until finally my son heard her meow in answer. She had gotten into his dresser in the space behind a drawer! He had to take the dresser apart to get her out. She finally adjusted and now follows me around everywhere and sits on my lap every night.
