Arrival Story:
I found a listing for a 4 month old black kitten named Talc on the Humane Society�s website. Talc was living with a foster mother who had become super attached to him during the two months he had been with her. I requested a time to come and meet him at the shelter and while we sat there playing, Talc�s foster mom grilled me on my schedule and my apartment � both of which didn�t work in my favor! (I was working full time, going to law school and living in a small studio apartment.) But I must have won her over because a few days later I was back at the shelter bringing Eli (no more Talc) home with me. The entire time I stood filling out paperwork (which took about 20 minutes), Eli sat on the counter next to me � not fidgeting, not messing � just chilling. He had (and still has) such a great disposition.

Bio:
Eli is a total lug who has been known to destroy furniture and windows alike. He's just not quite sure how to negotiate his 20 pound frame. But he is such a sweet and loving cat that we just have to forgive him... (most of the time). Eli loves to eat cat food, but won't eat human scraps to save his life... except for anything chocolate-related! Clearly we won't feed him chocolate, but he has been known to sneak in a bite of funnel cake.
