Arrival Story:
Little Oop showed up on my parents' back deck in the middle of a thunderstorm. When their miniature dachshund cornered him, instead of running away he crouched down and started to cry. My mom rescued him and set up a little apartment for him in the garage while she put up fliers and tried to find his guardians. After a week it became clear that he had no home and she called me, crying, to say that she was taking him to an animal rescue society because her dog and two cats made it clear that he was not welcome at her house. My fiance and I fell in love with the little black cat over the phone, so instead of taking him to the rescue society, my mom brought him straight to his forever home!

Bio:
Oop is actually named after a Dutch photographer. We came across his website one night long before our little Oop arrived and my fiance joked that one day we should name our first son "Oop." I suggested that it might be more fitting for our first kitty. When he arrived seven months later he was such the perfect Oop!
