 Coloration: Blue Smoke

Likes: Playing with her mousie

Pet-Peeves: Being chased by kittens

Favorite Toy: Her mousie

Favorite Nap Spot: In a laundry basket- but only if it has clothes fresh out of the dryer

Favorite Food: Anything she gets without the other cats around

Skills: She will bring her mousie back to me when I throw it.

Dwells:
indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story: I raised her mom, Chani, from when she was a tiny kitten. Chani had Piper, and two others, Leto and Alliah, in her first litter. Leto and Alliah were given homes, but Piper was my favorite from day one. When she ended up without anyone to take her, I gladly kept her for my own. (Chani stayed with my ex when we broke up. Last I heard, Chani had left the home, and hadn't been seen since. She was always an excellent huntress, so I have no doubt she is thriving, where ever she may be.)

A Final Update:
Piper ran away. My husband and I had several family emergencies at the end of 2007 (his father passed away, my husband was in the hospital several times, I was laid off) and we took her over to my stepmom's house for a while until we got on our feet again and knew we would be home again. We had lived with my family before we were married, so Piper was familiar with the place. Unfortunately, she was so familiar with it, that she knew how to climb through the floor of the house- which was also the roof of the garage- and got out through the garage. My stepmom, my husband, my little sister and I have all tried to get Piper to come back. She stays around the house, she just won't come close enough for us to catch her. My husband and I moved across the country at the end of last year, and since Piper had not let us catch her, we had to leave her behind. My stepmom will continue to feed Piper until they move sometimes next year. By that time, we are hoping Piper will have let herself be 'caught' and I can go out there and get her. Worst case scenario, we are hoping she is adopted by another family that will take good care of her.
She is a good hunter and always has been, so we are not concerned about her starving. At last sighting, she is doing very well and looked good.

Mama and Daddy gave me a BATH yesterday. A BATH. How rude. They closed me in the bathroom with all the other cats. All of them! And then they stuck me in the bathtub and gave me a bath. Ugh. The only good thing about me being first was that I got to get out of there the fastest. I can't believe they did that to me.

I caught a bird the other day. It was great! I no longer have to hunt JUST on the ground. I am just like Nick now, and I can hunt birds out of the sky. I brought it back for Mama to see. I think she liked it, because she went right away and told Daddy all about it. I was so happy.
Those kittens got to go outside today. I'm not happy about that. Mama should make them stay outside. It's bad enough I have to share my house inside with them, they should at least stay there and not ruin my world outside too.
That one kitten chased me yesterday. I was just eating, and it was playing with my tail. Then when I ran away, it followed me! It would have been cute if it hadn't been chasing me. But they aren't cute! Not at all! And I will never be friends with them. No matter how fun they are to watch . . .
