Arrival Story:
One day she wondered into our yard years ago. She never became an indoor cat, instead opting to just come and go as she pleased. We took care of her, watched out for her, chased off other cats, and were her family. She stayed in our basement at nights and during the winter and cold months. One day she stopped eating and drinking. She got real thin and since she was old we know they'd just put her down. We did the best we could but she died within days. I was glad that I was able to bury her in our backyard. I really, really didn't want to give her away to be put to sleep. She didn't seem to be in any pain. She never let us pet her, but when she was on her last days I held her on my lap and rubbed her. That's when I knew she was really sick. I loved Scarlett and still miss her. I cried so hard that day she fell asleep on my lap. I miss you Scarlett! I know you're looking down on us.

Bio:
Scarlett died of an unknown illness, but I think it was CRF (Chronic Renal Insufficiency) She'd just stopped eating and drinking, even though I knew she wanted too. I was so depressed and sad and when she died, I couldn't stop crying. I cried for days. She'd been with us 12 + years. I will always miss and love our little Scarlett.
