Arrival Story: After we lost our Sami, I went to one of our local pet stores and she was for adpotion through our Humane Society. She was curled up in a cage, when I walked up she opened her eyes and for a moment I thought it was my Sami. I asked the girl if I could hold her and she purred a million purrs in my arms and I said I wanted to take her home. I didn't realize that I had to complete a four page application and then wait for the Humane Society to approve it. It was the longest 24 hours of my life! After a two hour counseling appointment we were finally able to bring our little girl home!
Bio: We were told that Bella was a stray living on the streets. When she was found, the poor kit had ear mites, fleas, upper respitory infection and an eye infection. When the Humane Society spayed her, they had to shave her pretty fur on her sides because of the fleas. When my husband first saw her, he said she didn't look to good, which she didn't. We brought her home and we introduced her to Tiger, and then she confidently walked around the house. She was very independent, not scared one bit. She was a real trooper with the eye medicine too. Poor thing, it cleared up in the one eye, went to the other eye, then back to the original eye. Her daddy named her Bella because Bella means "beautiful" and that she is.

I miss my peaceful home. All Tally does is stalk around the house then growl and hiss. I mean really, Nikki doesn't bother me one bit. Just this morning, I was trying to get her attention, and she just looks at me. I was even on my back meowing to come and play. Hmpf.
I guess that's a good thing. Even though she's pretty big and does look kinda scary, she's just a big baby. And then there's Tally that's acting like a spoiled little brat! She's taken over the top of the fridge downstairs, so even I can't look out the basement window, she'll only come up when mom & dad are home. Then she growls at the dog all night until we go to bed.
At least she doesn't growl through the night, then I'd really be mad!!!
Oh cat,
Mom and dad brought home a dog today and said it's our new sisfur! While I must admit, she is cute, she doesn't bother me at all. She looks at me but doesn't chase me, like my mental cousins, Cody & Toby. I think we'll get along just fine. Her name is Nikki. Mom already set up her Dogster page.
Now, Tally, is mad, mad, mad! She immediately came out and was hissing and growling and then ate some of her food. Well, I did too, and it wasn't that bad! MOL!
Dad has always wanted a dog, but was concerned about Tally, but Nikki is so mellow (like me) and such a good girl, that we should all get along just fine.
Poor pup, mom bought her a bunch of toys and she doesn't know how to play with them or what to do with her chewies either. I guess she came from a high kill shelter in KY and was lucky enough to come to the Humane Society. And of course to be adopted by the bestest pawrents in the world!
