Arrival Story:
Cristabel adopted us in the winter of 1999. She had been hanging around at our house and a neighbor's house for about a month; they had 2 large dogs, so we decided to take her in since she so obviously wanted to be inside. After inviting herself into the house and exploring it all over several days, she suddenly became very afraid of 2 of our other cats, Remy and Pixie, and spent most of her time upstairs in the computer room or under our bed for over a year. Then all of a sudden she seemed to decide "enough!" and reclaimed the rest of the house as her own.

Bio:
For awhile at the end of her life she moved in with the elderly woman next door, who needed a companion. Crissy seemed perfectly happy to spend a lot of her time there, sometimes coming home to us at night or for a snack. Sadly, in November 2005 she apparently found a patch of antifreeze in somebody's driveway, and died of kidney failure at the vet's office.
