Arrival Story: When I first began dating my husband while I was in college, he told me that I had to meet his "female roomate" who needed to approve of me. Having no idea what he was talking about (I'd dated some weird ones) I was pretty upset until I met "her" and realized she was a beautiful gray tabby cat! I'd never had a cat before and Miss Kitty was pretty intent on letting me know that she was the lady of the house and my husband-to-be was hers. She had been his cat ever since he was a kid and she spied him from down the street and came running to him. After living with his mom while he went to college, she became really depressed and as soon as he had his own apartment, she came to live with him and perked right up! As I came to visit more often, I began to feed her (her favorite Fancy feast). With the feeding, Miss Kitty quickly realized that 1) I was a good source for food and 2) I didn't seem to be going anywhere, so we became friends. Then I brought a little kitten into the mix (Tiger). She was more than a little miffed about this and let it be known that she had no use for the little man (she was a princess after all). Pretty soon, I moved in and Tiger became huge, so she figured that bonding with us would definitely be a good idea. We really became close and she would always sleep on my pillow (and head) which I thought was adorable. After we moved into a bigger apartment, she had a very severe attack of cardiomyopathy (she had gone undiagnosed by our vet) and the emergency vet didn't think she would make it through the night. Well, our little miracle girl not only survived the night, but after a regimine of medicine (administered by mommy of course!) she survived almost 6 years after that. Everyone called her a miracle and she was. She also put up with the additon of Lily (who she merely tolerated and loved to boss around) and Davy (who she loved to snuggle with because of his soft fur). Her one true cat love was Tiger and the two of them got along great. Near the end, she needed to be separated from Tiger because he was very close with her and when he sensed she was sick, he got very agitated. I guess we all deal with upset differently and our vet at the time said I believe he was trying to put her out of her misery (ah Tiger, always thinking). After the cariomyopathy became too much and she developed a tumor in her stomach (she would not have survived surgery), she was in a lot of pain and we put her to sleep. We still miss that beautiful, opinionated princess and we know that she will take good care of Tiger at the Rainbow bridge. May they have days of playing and eating.

Bio: Miss Kitty was a beautiful gray tabby and loved to sit in the window watching the birds fly by. She would also participate in Tiger's nautiness like knocking over the garbage can to get to a half eaten chicken. When we would come home to this, she would quickly run off (licking her chops) to leave Tiger to take the blame. It was hysterically funny and we quickly learned to always have a coverd trash can when cats are involved MOL! Our little princess (the original princess) is still greatly missed 1987-2002. May she and Tiger have lots of play and fun at the Rainbow Bridge.
