Arrival Story: In Chiefland, Florida, I was driving by the local landfill and spotted the only animal shelter in town and wanted to "stop and take a look." The pound was merely a giant cage with a roof on top, and inside were smaller wire cages with the animals just sitting inside them. There was at least one adult cat, and a few kittens seperated by cages. There I saw a tiny black kitten with a hurt left eye. The eye was completely closed and looked infected, so I assumed it would be blind in that eye. When I came back a couple days later the kitten was still there and it's eye was somehow perfectly healed. When I first brought Rainbow home, he bolted behind the first thing he could find, and hissed at me for hours. I continued to try and gain his trust and within a few hours he was sleeping with me on my pillow. Rainbow grew up in the backwoods of Florida, coming in and out of my window to romp outside in the yard and forest. He is an amazing hunter, and used to bring me live mice and place them on me while I slept. Rainbow has lived and travelled with me from Florida to Alabama and in more than one cross country road trip, most recently to California. Rainbow has been sad lately because where we live he cannot safely go outside, but luckily we are going back down south soon to live by his favorite sunny backyard.

I've Been On Catster Since:
I have been trying for days to get Mommy to give me treats. Today I snagged her! I gently pawed at her hand until she opened the box and gave me a treat. Then I followed her around with my CUTEST beggy face and it actually worked! She told me if I wanted treats I had to get them myself, so I grabbed as many as I could! They were so yummy, but I am still hungry.
