Arrival Story:
I found Leo on the side of the road on around 7:30 pm on September 10th, 2002. The vet said he was 4 weeks, a kitty foster mom who had just had kittens said he was 6 weeks and the nurses said he was 8 weeks. It was hard to tell for sure since he was so dirty, full of fleas, very scared, under nourished and very dehydrated. He spent the next day at the vet and they pumped him full of liquid. He came home all squishy and exhausted. The next day was very calm. He spent most of the day right by my side either sleeping or wanting to play from the comfort of the spot he was in. That day was the one year anniversary of September 11th and though it was a sad day having a new life there made it a special day for me.
