Arrival Story:
Magnum P.I. was discovered by our dog along with his litter mates. He didn't even have his eyes open and we had no idea where his mother was. Our female border collie, Misty, alearted us to their presence and when we started bottle feeding the orphans, Misty was there at all times watching us and the babies. One day we found her pulling the kittens out of their box and laying them in her bed. She mothered them as best as she could even letting the kittens nurse her though she didn't have any milk. We tried to keep her from doing it even when we moved the box out of her reach she would lay nearby watching the box and whining. When the kittens were old enough to move around outside the box, Misty became their full time Nanny. Unfortunately, Magnum was the only kitten to survive. As he grew older however, his friendship and kinship with Misty disappeared and they soon became not so friendly. But he grew on our hearts and he was my mom's favorite cat.

Bio:
My mom is a big Tom Selleck fan and at the time Magnum was born, Magnum P.I. was a big tv hit show. Naturally Mom named her favorite kitten after her favorite character. Magnum lived a long healthy loving life on our farm. Sadly Magnum passed away in my arms March 2, 2006. Our entire family was hit hard when he left us but we know that there is a special place in Heaven for him and he deserves every bit of it.
