The boy of the house desperately wanted a kitty, so Mom went to all of the animal shelters and rescues looking for a young cat to give to him. She found Spike at the Humane Society. The boy named his new kitty "Spike" (even though she was a pretty, petite little girl kitty). Spike is an adventurous and bold cat and lives up to her name.
