Arrival Story:
i adopted merry from a rescue organization here in dayton, ohio called S.I.C.S.A. i wanted to get a companion cat for my baby-kitty Shy-AnnaMae that was close in age. shy is 14 months old and merry is 18 months old.

Bio:
Miss Merry Mayhem is quintessentially evil....little is known of her history as she was dropped off at the rescue place in the middle of the night, in a large tupperware storage container, with some holes drilled in it for air...when the staff arrived she was VERY distressed and it was quite clear that she was MAJORLY pissed and has been a "lemon-face" kitty ever since...yet...there's something about her that touches my heart....in my twisted little view of life, i think that she hasn't been happy or content since she was sent to the shelter and maybe not even before that...i do not think this creature ever got any respect and she is a queen diva...she NEEDS respect! i intend to give her what she needs and in the process get to see the unfolding of "Merry the Magnificent'...in my heart of hearts, i believe there is, inside this cat, a sweetheart waiting to be allowed to exist and prosper...she needs...as we all do...time love and tenderness. ....again...i reiterate...it gets better every day! 28nov07...time has passed and my merry has blossomed! she is now my "Lap Cat"if i am sitting/laying down, she is on me!.she loves me and has become very sweet...though still... a TOTAL DIVA. she barely tolerates the roommates...hates old gradey-shay, though he is a sweetheart and has never bothered her at all. herself and shyannamae have an agreement...i'll pretend to not like you and you pretend to not like me, and when no one's paying attention we will play and chase with each other. merry is an extreme Escape Artist...not one goes in or out the back door of my house without at least ONE attempt to blow out the door! she has softened much and is always the first to greet human visitors. i am SOOO glad i have her!...she just needed to be understood...oh yeah....and worshipped ;)
