Arrival Story:
A week before Christmas 2004 I went to the local shelter in search of the perfect kitty for my girls. I was overwhelmed at how many cats needed homes. Beautiful fluffy ones, kittens, meowing kitties, and then there was this one all black cat laying in her litter box looking out. Her eyes were emerald green and just pierced my heart. I asked to visit with her in the visiting room, not knowing what to expect considering I had my 3 year old that was amusing herself by echoing her voice in the room. This little black cat was placed in the room and walked over to me and rubbed up against me. I immediately fell in love. She then began washing herself and was not phased by all the noise my daughter was making. I told the rescue people she had to be mine, but I needed to go get my older daughter to get her thought. I picked my older daughter up at school and brought her to the shelter, without giving her any indication as to where we were going. She was puzzled when we walked into this building that she was not familiar with, but had all these animals. We walked into the visiting room where they asked us to wait. They brought in this black cat and my daughter immediately had me around the neck saying "thank you thank you thank you mommy", then picked her up and said how much she loved her. Chassis is now soooooo much a part of our family we can't imagine life without her. They say one persons garbage is another's treasure....well, Chassis is definitely a GEM in our life. She is named Chassis because my family is Nascar fans and we wanted to find something that represented our likes and would be different. Chassis is what our family came up with.

Dogs are SOOOO Dumb!

Have you ever heard that a dog can sprain their tail? Well guess what, my stupid dog sister, Bristol, did! I'm telling you....that dog just ain't right in the head! My mom gets so emotional whenever anything happens to that dog. Some animals will do anything for attention! Me, I prefer just rubbing up against legs and looking into your eyes with such an irresistable look. Maybe I should sprain a hair on my back to get some extra love! Dogs are SOOOO Dumb!
