Arrival Story:
The CFO brought her to work, his neighbor found her and asked him to take her to the vet. He did and his vet said they couldn't help her because she weighed too little to do any surgeries. Her right front leg was all floppy and didn't work, she wighed less than three-quarters of a pound! I did my ususal stunt and called my husband crying. He said I could bring her home and we would take her to our vet. I took her home and to the vet. Our vet at that time wouldn't do surgery because she weighed so little. Within days her leg became smelly and she kept chewing on it. My husband took her back to the vet and demanded that they do something, the vet wanted to euthanize her, and my husband told them that that was not an option! Eventually, they performed the surgery and she came out ok! We put off getting her spayed for awhile since she had already been through so much trauma! After we finally did get her fixed she turned from a wee sweet cat into a hellion! That was 1999! She's still a hellion! She doesn't have the best personality, but what do ya do? She's family! BTW did I say that is our FORMER vet! We have a vet who usnderstands that ALL options must be exhausted prior to euthanizing even being spoken, let alone considered! Dr. Andy Summers
