I wanted a companion for my other cat, Lucy. Poor little Perla had an issue with a rear leg, and limped pretty badly. Up to the second joint on that leg was actually on the floor. She was only 4 pounds, had an ear infection, and a respiratory infection. She was too cute not to take home. Lucy hated her, though, and hissed,growled, batted, and clawed until she was practically foaming at the mouth. Perla took all this in stride, though, and now has a huge belly, no infections, and a fully recovered leg!
Bio:
I love to cuddle, and prefer to be blocking all major breathing orifices while doing it. Some of my hobbies include catnip frenzies, tormenting Lucy (she's so uptight), hiding whenever I'm called, shedding all over furniture, and ruining what could potentially be cute photos. I have gorgeous pale blue eyes.

I am losing weight! My human has me on some diet cat food and she feeds me separately from the gray cat so I don't get all her food and get fat again. I am so much lighter and now I have more energy and run all over the place! At first I was not happy about this new food, but I know it's because my human loves me and wants me to be healthy. It's nice to have more energy too. Now I can chase around the gray cat for much longer!!

It has been two years since I left the shelter and came home with this crazy human. It hasn't always been easy. I had to spend six long months being terrorized by Lucy (I defended myself by permanently altering her right ear). I am so glad that I have a home for good!

I am, how shall I put this, rather portly. I came into this home a measly 4 pounds, and am now looking at a solid 12! I have a fat pouch in my belly that swings when I walk. It is unsightly! And I get lots of exercise, too. I just can't understand it. I mean, I play with those feather toys like it's goin' out of style, I chase the mean gray cat all over the apartment, I push around that yellow ball in the blue ring...I am pretty active. True, I do enjoy delicacies such as tuna flavored Pounce, and once pawed open a container and ate half of its contents before passing out in a treat-induced fog. I need a kitty exercise plan.
