Arrival Story:
Black One appeared on the doorstep of a home full of cats. He was a neighborhood stray, but the woman at the home fed him a lot, so he decided to hang out there on a permanent basis. The woman had him neutered so he would stick around and not mess with the female strays. Since nobody knew where he came from, and therefore didn't know his name, they decided to call him Black One, since the other cats in the house had names such as Big One and Small One. Attempts to make him an indoor cat never quite worked out, and so to this day he roams the outdoors during the day and comes in at night for dinner and sleep.

Bio:
Black One's brother, Big One, and his cousin Princess Merriweather are also on this site. Black One feels indignified since his family has dozens of photos of Big One and Merriweather, but hardly any of him. He has been posing for portraits and hopes to post them on this Web page soon.

My brother Big One

My poor brother Big One went to the Bridge last month. I guess you could say he was Big Brother to me. Ha ha. I still miss him and I've been acting weird since he went to the Bridge. I've been hiding lately. My auntie thinks it's because I am afraid that I'll turn out like brother Big One -- my meowmy will take me away and I'll never return.

So far I'm doing well, even though I'm pretty old. I live outdoors, so I have all sorts of issues that indoor kitties don't ever have. But this is how I prefer my life. I was a street cat and just happened to find a nice family to feed me. Now I like to hang out at their house and sometimes I even sleep with my meowmy in her bed, but for the most part I'm as independent as can be and cannot be harnassed into being a house cat.

My meowmy's husband is kinda grumpy. He doesn't like cats. He sure felt guilty when Big One went to the Bridge, though. He tries to pretend he hates cats but he cried when Big One went to the Bridge. He blamed Big One for all the wet spots on the carpet, but now that Big One is gone and the wet spots are still appearing ... well, oops, I guess it was me all along! So now he feels bad that he blamed Big One all this time. Anyway, I hide from him because he's not the friendliest guy in town. Sometimes he throws things at me. Obviously I am too fast and furious to be hit by them, but still ... all cats must beware this guy!

I am enjoying my new pimped-out Catster page, complete with a dazzling night sky. Don't you think it's beautiful? I picked it because it's black, like me.

Off to have my dinner now!
