 Quick Bio:
 Coloration: Gray Tabby

Likes: Fishy treats, naps, catnip, and getting TTouch massage

Pet-Peeves: Being chased by Charly (her cat companion)

Favorite Toy: She's too mature for toys (!!!), but occasionally will play with a soft squeaky mouse that dangles on an elastic string.

Favorite Nap Spot: A chair in our bedroom, or a nice sunny place by the back door. She also LOVES sleeping curled up next to "Mom" at night.

Favorite Food: TUNA! (and sometimes turkey)

Skills: She wakes me up every morning at the same time by sitting on the night stand next to my pillow and staring at me. If I don't wake up, she'll use a special "meow" sound to talk to me, then start licking my face.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: We were a "catless couple" and Teddy rescued us in October 2001! Upon returning home from a trip to Boston, we found her living under our backyard deck. She was small and thin, but so pretty and had the sweetest face and voice. We fed her tuna the first night, and she kept showing up at our back door every morning and evening, until we finally bought some food dishes and kibble for her and started feeding her regularly. But she was too timid to come inside the house. It was starting to get colder, and we worried about leaving her outside. We left the back door open so she could come in and out as she pleased, and decide when and if she wanted to stay indoors. Meanwhile, she moved from under the deck to the top of the deck. We put her food dishes inside of a big plastic garbage can that we laid on its side, and covered the inside with towels so she could go inside when it rained. My husband would go outside at night and chase away the "bully cats" who tried to steal her food. We had become so protective of this little cat! Finally, after about 8 weeks, she decided to move inside the house, and we named her Teddy.

Bio: We had no idea how old Teddy was when she "rescued" us. The vet said she could be anywhere from 1 to 5 years old, but we thought she looked like she was about a year old. She still acted like a kitten in some ways. So we celebrate the day of her adoption as her "birthday." We don't know anything else about her, other than that she is a sweet, loving, quiet, timid kitty who has been very happy in our house since the day she arrived, and she has made us very happy, too!
Teddy and her cat "sister" Charly have two cat "cousins" in France -- Moony and Pilou, who live near Paris with a dog named Elliot and a horse named Ourga. Their human companion Kristell sends news and photos via email, and has come to visit Teddy and Charly in the U.S. every year since 2004. They look forward to her visits and her French lessons!
Teddy and Charly also recently welcomed another kitty "cousin" to their family -- Buddy, who lives in Ohio with her human companions, Michele and Tyler. They love trading photos by email.
