Arrival Story: I was looking for a successor for my first kitty, who died at age 23.5. I was looking at humane society kitties, but missed out on a few I liked. Then I went to a humane society foster home and saw Arnold. He was the first of his litter to leave his bio-Mom. EXACTLY the same way I found my first kitty 24 years earlier.
Bio: Arnold has lived in Florida and Georgia. He moves really well, as long as he has his Mommy! He goes to Church to be blessed with Holy Water every year on the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. He sits on my shoulder while they sprinkle him, and doesn't cry or try to get down! He loves going in his boat, but NOT in the water. And he is very proud of having been named in honor of a famous golfer (Arnold Palmer). He stands on the FLOOR, not the seat, in order to get a drink from the toilet. He's a BIG boy. He was a DAILY DIARY PICK, 8-2-2007, 4-9-2008, 7-23-2008, 7-28-2008, 9-21-2008, 10-13-2008, 11-5-2008, 1-15-2009, 10-5-2009 and 10-28-2009!!! AND he was DIARY OF THE DAY, (with his picture on the front page!) on 9-9-08!

MY DUDE PALS: Vincent was and is my first dude pal. I introduced him to his girl, Tigress. Moose is the funniest and sweetest guy I know. Simon just crossed to the Bridge, but will always be my bud no matter what. Rascal is always looking out for me, and is a great pal. Tooney has left for the Bridge, but he is a thoughtful and great friend. Handsome, too!
My Gal Pals: Scooter is a sweetheart and a special friend. Her leaving for the Bridge broke my heart. Sissy is a kind and precious Furt friend who loves her window sill. Elmo went to the Bridge at 23 years old. She was beautiful and thoughtful and kind. Elsa is a baroness of beauty and a princess of pulchritude. Annie is a dear Olde Furt who has health issues and my heart. And I love her brothers, too!
MY SPECIAL PAL: Calvin is my special pal and a constant source of laughter.
I am back! The Okie vet said today I acted like the Arnold he first met. That means I was cranky and hissy and yelled obscenities at him, and that's GOOD! And I gained some of my ounces back!
I walked around his office and didn't shake or lose my balance. He said that I might have been too mad to show signs like that, but if they were truly new-row-logical, they can't be masked by mad-ness.
He said the sore on my arm is ringworm. Ewwwwwwwwww. Mom has to put medicine on it. (I wonder if this jeopardizes my Dreamboat status?)
He and Mom discussed that maybe I am a little depressed. I have been locked in this hotel room for 2 months and I want to go home. When we were in Duluth, we had TWO rooms and I could walk around. Mom and I are both kind of getting cabin fever at this point.
We have 4 more nights here, then we hit the road. I plan on giving Mom h*ll, but I will be glad to get home.
I wonder if we can get the Okie vet to come with us?!? I know it's because of him that I AM going home!
I heard Mom talking on the phone to the Okie vet. She said I have a sore on my arm. I knew that.
But she said something else that I didn't understand. She said I am showing signs of new-row-logical problems. She says my right arm shakes and I can't set my hands so that I don't fall down. I fall down a LOT! *blushes*
I don't know what all that means, except that I'm going to see the Okie vet AGAIN tomorrow!
I may like it, I may not.
If I like it for dinner, I probably won't like it for breakfast.
If I like it on Sunday, I won't like it on Monday.
If I like it for lunch, I probably won't like it for dinner.
I'll eat a little to keep you guessing.
Don't give me people chikin.
Don't give me the baby kind.
I'm just not that crazy about any of it.
Thanks for asking, but NO, I am NOT from Biafra...
