Arrival Story: November 12, 2005...my humans were on the way to the mall to spend money on themselves...they passed the Petmobile from Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League and decided to turn around and take a look (smart humans)...they wanted a doggie (not so smart humans)...looked at the kitties and I came to the door of my cage and MEEOOOWED at mom...she held me and I clung to her and gave her a new furlook (I shed a lot)...they fell in love with me and brought me home with them. All the money they we going to spend at the mall, they spent on me!! Very smart humans after all!!!
Bio: Maggie had been at the shelter since December 2004. She had been adopted twice...brought back once because "she needed too much attention...second time "she startled easily". Lame, lame excuses...we gave her all the time she needed to adjust and to realize she has a forever home where she will be loved, cared for and spoiled...she's loving, gentle, affectionate and very regal. She's brought love and happiness to us after the loss of our precious little 18 1/2 yr. old Yorkie, Ralphie. I believe Ralphie knew she was the perfect kitty for us and led us to her and to her sister Aggie.

What a wonderful surprise on my "Gotcha Day" ... I'm the Diary Pick of the Day! I was logging in to Catster a few minutes ago and saw my name and the American flag, that was my main picture for Veteran's Day yesterday ... I'm so happy and humbled by this honor and I thank Catster from the bottom of my kitty heart.
Today my sisfur Aggie and I are celebrating four years since we wrapped our paws around our pawrents' hearts - and we're never letting go! And Catster has made this day extra special.
Life is good - thank you Ralphie, you led mom and dad to us and now you remind us that every day is a gift ... thank you again Catster, I'm going to share my good news with all my friends - wishing everyone at Catster HQ a beautiful day.
Aunty Lyn visited us twice during her 28 day trip through our beautiful USA ... I loved the way she let me crawl up on her lap and snuggle ... she scratched my chin and my back and it felt wonderful.
Mommy and Aunty Lyn had lots of fun together but there were sad times, too. At the beginning of the trip mommy had to tell Aunty Lyn that Barry, one of her kitties back in the UK, had suffered a seizure - he's okay, but has suffered permanent disabilities. Then on Monday night before Aunty Lyn arrived back in our area last week, grandpa was rushed to the hospital by the paramedics and daddy rushed to the hospital to be with him - they checked him out and sent him home (thank you dear Creator of all things) but mommy and daddy were up very late and they were worried and stressed. When Aunty Lyn arrived the next day, mom had to give her the sad news that a very close and dear friend of hers, Ms. Beverly back in the UK, had passed away along with one of her kitties, Cushag, and that Ms. Beverly's other kitty, Tiggy, was loose in the neighborhood (he's now been caught and will be in a new forever home soon). It was very difficult for my mom and dad to watch Aunty Lyn grieve, all they could do was offer friendship, hugs and listening hearts full of concern, empathy and love.
Unfortunately, there was a lot of stress caused by other circumstances because not everyone is nice in this world, not everyone plays fair in life. Mom and Aunty Lyn surely didn't need any more stress added to the sadness but there will always be people who just focus on themselves and don't stop to consider that others might be going through a rough time - it's all about them and that's what drives them in life. But it's okay, life goes on and like mom's grandma used to say "no hay mal que por bien no venga".
