Arrival Story:
I was out in the front yard tending my flower garden. A car stopped at the house and woman got out carrying a young cat, and asked if the cat belonged to me. I told her no and I have never seen the cat before. The woman said she was worried that someone would run over the cat because he was just laying in the middle of the street and she had to get out of the car to move him, and she was in a hurry to get to the airport. I told her I would take the cat and find where he belonged. It came that he did not belong anywhere and it was beginning to appear that we have been had! What a slick drop off. ??. It did not take long for him to grow on me. He was more like a dog than a cat. He followed me everywhere, was always in my lap, and sleeping on my stomach when I took a nap. And it was so cute the way he would 'help' me pull weeds. If it is in the neighborhood, he sees it... kids, leaves, grass, ants, birds, butterflies, etc... and he just watches, so we named him Hawkeye.

The Happenings Of Hawkeye

FrankenCat

Mom grew up on the classics. Werewolf, Dracula, and Frankenstein. I never thought I could have an acting role in such splendor. But alas, my happenings made it so I can have a guest appearance as FrankenCat.

My day started out as a typical every morning. I go out into the garage to tend to my morning litter box chores, as I refuse to share to my toiletries with the females of the house.

After returning inside, I take my usual cool morning position on the register as Mom fiddles around with this and that. Slumber was upon me somewhat good when Mom reached down and gave me a side rub. I so do delight in side rubs. I am enjoying this to the max. Then Mom hits my ouchy spot.

I jumped up and growled. "What?" Mom thinks. "Hawkeye is such a laid back kitty cat." The light was shining just right and Mom saw my fur was sort of thinning where she touched me. She parted the fur and saw a deep puncture wound. I have been bitten and it was swollen about the size of a 50 cent piece.

Mom took me in to the bathroom and got out the first aid kit, and was cleaning me up. She barely touched my ouch and puss shot out everywhere. The more Mom cleaned, the more mom found and I was all full of puss. I had an infection for sure.

Mom went upstairs and woke Dad up. Cousins Taz and Wizard had the cat carriers and he needed to drive us to the vet. Dad's remedy was "There is neosporin in the bathroom cabinet." Neosporin is Dad's answer to everything. I expect to see him spread it on his morning toast one day.

Dad got Mom and I to the vet. My ouches were abscessed and I was full of puss the diameter of a baseball, and I had a light fever. It is anyone's guess what I was bit by. There are squirrels, raccoon, rabbits, chipmunks, groundhogs, and etc, and bats and birds. I can say I am for sure I was not beaked by any type of flying animal.

A nurse came in and took me into another room away from Mom and Dad, and I got some sleepy air and took a nap. When I woke up, I was missing fur on my side and I had string in my ouches and I was all bloody. I was mad!! I let the whole world know I was mad until I was with Mommy and Daddy again. The vet cleaned out my ouches real good, and mom has to give me amoxicillin and clean out my ouchs with granulex twice a day.

Mom told me I will never go outside again. I sure hope she changes her mind. I so much love my bench on the patio, and I rarely leave the back yard.

Mommy cried. Mom cried so hard for not seeing my ouch under my fur for so long, and she feels she is a cat abuser.

It's okay, Mommy. I love you and I really don't mind too much that I am a FrankenCat!
