Arrival Story:
Ok. So I'm up on this really high mountain and this man and woman come up the mountain, right? And I'm so hungry I go right up to them, which was really unusual for me 'cause people had been really mean to me and I was scared of everybody, but I thought I could trust these folks so I did, and they took me home! But then they found out they couldn't keep me because they lived in an apartment so they convinced my "daddy" to at least let me stay with him for a while so he did, and the first day he bought me a bed and toys and food, and, and, and... it was GREAT. Then daddy got married and I moved in with mom and this REALLY big cat named Ace, and the rest is history!

He's staying. The new dog, that is.

Not that I'm not glad or anything, but I just thought it was obvious.

After all, I approved from the get-go. How could I not approve? I get to blame him for everything. Something falls, it's Max's fault. A human squeals, It's Max's fault. There's a big noise, it's Max's fault.

I always come running, puffed up, ready to strike a fatal blow...well, maybe not a fatal blow, otherwise he wouldn't be around to swat again, but you get the idea.

Ummmmmm, contentment is a warm patch of sunshine, my "goofy dog" toy to play with, a real goofy dog to boss around, and Cati to rescue me if I get in over my head with him.

Life is so good.

Two dogs to one cat might make one shudder. Not me.

See, while the dogs are busy settling a dispute like, who sits on which side of the human on the sofa, I simply jump onto the sofa and dare either one to come up. I am rewarded with my folks saying things like, "Oh hello Scooter," and "Oooooh she's sooo soft!" Then my fur gets rubbed, my chin gets scratched, all that neat stuff. The dogs meanwhile, sit on the floor and grumble.

Having two dogs in the house is great for helping keep my litterbox clean, too.

Yes, I think I like this two dog scenario. Plus I've still got the new guy totally buffaloed, and anytime he gets outta line with me, if I'm not fast enough, Cati comes to my rescue.

Girl power, baby. Girl power.

I couldn't believe my eyes at first.

The humans had left and they had taken Cati with them. When I heard them return, I turned a corner to greet them and ran smack into the dog. I assumed it was Cati, but I was wrong. BOY was I wrong!

It was another dog! It looked so much like Cati, but it wasn't Cati and I didn't know what to do at first, run, slap, hiss. What to do, what to do? Then all of a sudden it dawned on me-- this dog was another Corgi and it wouldn't eat me!

That revalation was so inspiring. The dog won't eat me.

Whatever I do.

The dog won't eat me.

Ha ha.

This is just too good to be true.
