Arrival Story:
In May of 1997 I was getting my parents home in Bayonet Point ready for sale an took some old blankets and towels to an animal shelter. Lucy was in a large cage as I entered the facility an immediately made herself noticed by demanding attention. She also insisted that I not pay attention to any other cats at the shelter. I was not prepared to adopt a cat at that time as my wife and I lived 5 hours south of Bayonet Point and we had 3 cats which was the allowable limit in the town where we lived. As soon as we returned home our beloved 13 year old get suddenly went to the Rainbow Bridge as a result of rapid kidney failure. We usually wait months before adding a new kitty to our home but something told me to call the shelter and inquire about the calico Manx. She was still available and three weeks later we were able to drive up to Bayonet Point and bring her home.

Bio:
Lucy is a rumpy Manx (absolutely no tail). We do not believe she is a purebred as she tends to be a bit long rather than have the round body shape common to the breed

I'se haf knot mewed fur a lonk thyme cuz I'se bin heppin massa an mistress wif ar noo haus. Now I'se haf sum bad noos. Mistress thyroid gode bad an herz in da horsespittal. Da test showed a 34.7 reedin witch meen dat hrz thyroid haf fur awl intense an porpuses shut down. Da lastest thyme dis happind were bout 30 yeers ago an it taked fibe weaks fur dem doftors tew git efurrythin rite.
