Arrival Story:
When we went to the Solano County Animal Shelter for the first time, we found the cutest little kitten we'd ever seen. He had ears and paws way too big for his body, and his eyes and coat were almost the same grey color through the glass of his little cubicle. He was sick with an upper respiratory infection at the time, so we couldn't hold him at all, but we knew he was a very special kitty. We ended up leaving that day without him, considering holding out for a little girl, then ended up regretting it and going back the next day to get him. After a week of waiting for him to get better, waiting for his surgery (to be neutered), and getting our landlord to call the shelter to confirm that we are allowed to have pets, we finally got to bring him home. Still wanting to get a female kitten and deciding that Link would appreciate a playmate, we continued to search [enter Zelda].

Bio:
For the first week we had Link, he actually had no name. We couldn't agree on a name for him, so I actually compiled a list of 12 possible name pairs (we knew we'd be getting 2 cats eventually and wanted the names to fit together). We ended up deciding on Link and Zelda after I mentioned that the little triangle on his nose looked like the Tri-Force on the Legend of Zelda video game. After we had him for a while, we found that his name fits him perfectly. He is quite the adventurer and has a knack for getting both into and out of trouble. Add that to the fact that he is awfully fond of Zelda, and we have the perfect little Link.
