Arrival Story:
I adopted Tiger Renee from one of my teachers when we first moved to our current residence. I loved her instantly because she appeared to have a drop of caramel on her foot. When she was only a few weeks old, she crawled under the car, and unbeknownst to me, rode under the car to my destination (only about two miles). She did this twice...and survived. I almost didn't survive her second "trick," however. Needless to say, she seemed to have learned her lesson. She's living a great life and loves to be snuggled!

Bio:
In Loving Memory Silent Meows Old Girl 9-14-93 to 9-24-06 She has the softest meow you've ever heard. She makes the meow motion with her mouth, but there's no sound. Tiger is Duke's Grandmother. Tiger had a liter of kittens (two). We took one to our neighbor's farm and kept the other, naming her Pretty Girl. The next spring, she had her own liter of kittens (nine), but because she didn't know how to be a mama cat, only three survived. Tiger had to help clean the newborns and we washed their faces so they could breathe. The surviving kitties included two yellow ones and one which was black. We named the black one Duke, and the yellow ones were Dolly and Daffodil. Daffodil is now at the Rainbow Bridge and Dolly was adopted.

Kitty Strep Throat?

November 16th 2005 5:54 pm   [link to this entry]

This afternoon was a little traumatic. My mistress and grands took me to visit the doctor. As much as I hate to go, I'm sure glad we made the trip. The only other time my mistress has taken me to the vet was when I was a young girl cat and had special surgery. Other than getting my annual check-up, I've been fairly healthy.

My family has noticed that I haven't been eating much this week, and I think I've lost a pound or two. When I try to eat, I just cant...it hurts too much and sometimes I just spit my food back out...is this too much information?

Well, my doctor is sooooo nice and sooooo gentle. I didn't have a temperature, but she took some blood. This means she had to shave some of the hair under my chin...I was a good girl, though. She also gave me a couple of shots and gave my family some antibiotics for me the next few days - yes, all we cats know about the pink stuff, don't we?!

Ivy is the doctor's dog...she's the unofficial greeter, and I was glad to see a friendly, furry face. She recommended some Science Diet food that is really soft. When we got home, my family fixed the food for me, and it was so soft it melted in my mouth. Boy, it was so good, and I ate more than I'd eaten the past week. The back of my mouth and throat are a little sore, and the doctor said we would know my diagnosis tomorrow night.

Please say some kitty prayers for me. Purrs and Paws to all my friends~

Tigg

Allie is coming home!

November 12th 2005 4:39 pm   [link to this entry]

Allie Jane will arrive home this evening, and I am glad! At least now I won't be the only female (except for my mistress) in the house...these man cats can get a little overwhelming - no offense Duke and Whisk, I love you guys! Allie keeps me feeling young, and when I look at her, I see a hint of my youthful times...we kinda look alike, don't you think?! Welcome home Allie! :)

Playing tricks!

September 12th 2005 6:47 pm   [link to this entry]

Hello to all my friends! I sure like to play tricks on the neighbor's dogs! I like to go out to their pen and make them bark and bark. I know that they can't get out, so it is so funny to watch them bark and run around trying to get me. Dogs drool and Cats rule!!!!Soft meows to everyone!
