Arrival Story:
A friend called and said he needed to find a home for his cat so we took him in. It took some thought being that we already have 2 cats and 1 dog. But I couldn't stand the idea of him going to the pound. So now we are a 3 cat, 1 dog household.

Bio:
Hendrix is a very loving cat. He loves people. He will lay and knead you with his paws for hours. He is a real sweet heart. Except when it comes to his cat-sister Lucy. He stalks and attacks her terribly. Which is worrisome given his more than twice her size. He seems to think it is a game, but it turns ugly quick because she is terrified of him. Any suggestions??? Otherwise, Hendrix gets along quite well with the Dutch, the dog. I actually saw him rubbing himself all over the dogs face the other morning, quite cute. And Hendrix absolutely ADORES Newki. It's strange that he is so mean to Lucy but lets Newki completely dominate him. (Newki has always been the biggest pushover) They run and play together all day long. Getting Hendrix was the best thing I ever could have done for Newki, who now acts like a kitten again. If we could only fix the problem between Hendrix and Lucy we'd be all set. As it is, Hendrix is kept downstairs (family room and Uncle's bedroom are down there) shut away from Lucy at night and then we put Newki down there with him while we are gone at work during the day. He can't be trusted alone with Lucy. He doesn't understand his size and that he is really hurting her when he goes after her. Except for that problem, he is a wonderful cat! Very affectionate and fun. Oh, the other thing about Hendrix is that he is a total PIG!!!!!! I am buying more than double the amount of food that I used to buy for both Newki AND Lucy. He eats non-stop. Doesn't seem to be affecting his weight at all. He's just a big guy I guess. Although I'm starting to wonder if that is why his previous owners gave him up.... they couldn't afford to feed him anymore!!! ;)
