Arrival Story: Cleo was a shelter kitty that the ladies at the no-kill shelter told us we just had to meet. Her friendliness was apparent when we opened up her cage and she jumped onto my shoulder and then onto her daddy's. Dad is over 6 feet tall, so she was totally fearless!
She was a momcat when she was found by the shelter-- she trotted up to a construction site and paraded herself and her little darlings in front of some humans... fast forward a few weeks later and all of her family are hapily off of the street and adopted into different homes. She's still very much a momcat, though!
Bio: Cleo is very boisterious and does what she can to make everything a game. She loves Miles Davis, Gene Clark, Patsy Cline, The Rudds, and the Velvet Underground. She seemed ok with AC/DC and Queen as well.

I hardly have the time to write! Mom and Dad keep moving the stuff in the bedroom (ahem! The Royal THRONE ROOM!) around, and they don't seem to like my typing. They say that it's 3 in the morning! Too early! And then they say that the computer is not "on," whatever that means.
My doctor thinks I have the BEST eyes. She must, because she gazed deep into one of them not once but TWICE this month. She's nice and all, but I like to remind her who's in charge when she does that stuff, if you know what I mean.
All I want to do is nap! I had a hard night of playing and trying to catch moths with Velvet.
Velvet's all right! It took her a little bit to figure out who was in charge (clearly, moi) , but now we share things. You read that right. I can share. On purpose.
Mom and Dad say that we're having a special dinner tonight! I hope it's my favorite, steamed chicken. I don't even have to worry about Velvet eating any, because she hates people food.
One day, I'm #1. Queen of Everything. The only cat in sight. Now there's this...girl...she's gangly. She's awkward. She's young.
She's Velvet.
She bit off the tails on ALL of my mice! I had to growl at her to keep her away from my very favorite mouse, Beatrice. (yes, I named the mouse. that's how much I love this one.)
She yowls at everything outside. Mom and Dad think it's cute, but they're not here all day to hear this all day long. ugh!
Mom said that one day, I won't be able to remember life without Velvet. Yeah, right!
