Arrival Story:
On the afternoon of Wednesday, April 27th, 2005, my husband rescued Reebok and Nike from where he works. They had a little sister and were living in a storage area where some guys were feeding them. Their sister was taken home and named Seagate. The guys told my husband about the boys so he went to look at them. He called and talked to me about fostering them and then turning them over to Safe Haven rescue to help them find their permanent homes. They were picked up by hand, put in a box, and off they went to our house! We made a vet appointment for that afternoon and the results were all good! I gave the boys a nice little bath together in the bathroom sink, treated them with Revolution, and saw just how beautiful they really were! Then we set up the guest bedroom for the little guys to let them get comfortable in their new surroundings.
Bio:
Needless to say, these guys found their permanent homes...with us! Nike seems to get into things more than Reebok does. He's always walking on top of the stove, the fridge, the bookcase, etc., and one of the first to crawl into an empty bag or jump into an empty box. He has really grown to love our dog Quincy. When Quincy is standing up, Nike will talk to him while rubbing up against him.

The best thing I liked about my costume was that I didn't have to actually wear it. It just went around my neck and we didn't bother to try to stick my legs in the costume even if I do have long legs! The hat wasn't bad either, and there's nothing like a little tickling under the chin and a crazy lady talking to you to make you cooperate!
During the photo shoot, Mom broke the chain on the heart and had to do a quick patch job, but I know my heart is whole.

I never seem to have much of anything to write about in my diary, but I know I have been a good boy because Mom always says so.
My life must be boring. Maybe we need another cat, or maybe another dog. Maybe not. I like my life just the way it is.

Did I ever mention how much I like to talk to Quincy? While cats like Melody and Riley tend to lick his paws and face, which I think is yucky, I talk to him. When he walks around the house I run after him while talking to him and rub up against him. When he takes another step I run after him again until he stops!
Quincy tends to get more attention from us cats more than Cosmo does probably because he's more in our face, but Cosmo is nice to us too.
What I see when we go out in the backyard is my brother Reeb, peeing. He is the only one out of the ten of us that does that. I think his best friend Jeter Harris told him it was cool to pee in the great outdoors.
When I was a kitten I used to follow behind Reeb, but I'm not about to start peeing outside. Now you know who always got to the food first, too!
