Arrival Story:
James and his one-eyed brother GW who I instantly fell in love with lived at the animal hospital I began working attwo years ago. When the two adolecent cats became too much of a menace, stealing anything they could pick up, bothering the patients, etc. my boss sent them to the Dakin Animal Shelter, who we do a lot of work for. James and GW were up for adoption. Instantly my heart went out to them as images of months in the shelter for my poor little friends. I convinced my boyfriend to let me adopt them, called the shelter and told them I would be by that weekend. House cat-proofed and all, I went to the shelter only to find out GW was adopted the day before. Crushed, I rushed to the cat room where James was, scooped him up and took him home. Luckily James adjusted to a solitary cat life fairly well, and even more luckily he adjusted to the addition of Marilyn then eventually Bonnie to our family.

Bio:
James and the dogs get along very well considering he was not raised with dogs and Marilyn was not raised with cats. Bonnie was raised with James, so he is just another pack member to play with to her. James is so good, her lets her paw all over him and be goofy. He's so laid back he even enjoys when Bonnie nibbles at his neck with her front teeth! He closes his eyes and pushes into her purring like a maniac. James also loves nothing more than to curl up with Marilyn when she's sleeping. Nothing better than napping with another warm, fuzzy body! They are so funny to watch..
