Arrival Story:
A neighbor had taken in a pregnant feral cat and I agreed to take a kitten home. Since her mom was feral she still has a lot of those instincts. She runs at sudden moves and cannot be picked up. This does not stop her from being a very loving cat. She will lay on the back of the sofa as close to my head as possible and purr for hours.

Bio:
This rare female tabby is well traveled. She survived 2 trips coast to coast by car. UPDATE 4/07 - Lulu is turning into a different cat. She never played with toys until Diego came along. Now, 3 years after his addition to the family she has learned how to play and how to enjoy playing. She has even started playing by herself with the toys. I know she is a truely happy kitty and it makes me more happy than I can say.

Today I found out that my pal Maximillian Klingon will be making his journey to the bridge Monday. I think Maximillian is going to be the best dressed kitty at the bridge. Have you seen some of his fancy outfits?? I know his parents are very sad right now. Me and Diego are sending them lots and lots of purrrrs.

I would also like to congratulation my bro Diego for being a diary pick today. I apologize for interrupting his little acceptance speech. Sheesh!

Sunshine!

I am all about sunshine these day. Most of our hot weather left so now the days are mild and I get quite a few late afternoon sunbeams to lay in.

Pansy is so sweet!! She made me a fancy new Catster page that shows off my love of sunshine and sunflowers. Yes, mom is growing GIANT sunflowers this year for the first time. We are both quite excited at how big the stalks are already. They are almost as tall as mom which means I can see the tops out the window. I like to watch the ladybugs crawling around on the leaves. I guess they are getting their dinner.

I have been feeling pretty good this summer. Mom worries a bit because I am 13 now. She was really worried when she went on vacation for 10 days. I did fine and even came out and let the sitter have a couple of drive by pettings. Of course 5 minutes after mom walked in the door from vacation I went downstairs and pooped under her bed. She needed to know that I did NOT appreciate her leaving me and she better not do it again. I think she got the message.

Enjoy the late summer sun my friends!

Thanks Gleek for the pretty sunflower to brighten my page.

Staycation and a horror story

Hi friends! We are going to be on staycation for a while while mom goes to Florida for some fun in the sun. We will be well cared for and probably even pampered by our cat sitter. I heard mom unload at least 2 jars of turkey baby food from the shopping bag yesterday. YUM!!

Now the horror story......Mom tried to kill me! There I was innocently sleeping on the cat condo dreaming of squirrels and cheese popcorn when I heard doors being shut. Mom shut all the bedroom and bathroom doors and locked the cat flap that lets us onto the screen porch. I jumped down but had nowhere to run so I curled up in the tightest ball EVER on the sofa. Mom came over and tried to pet me and talk all nice. I wasn't having it. " MEOOOOOOOOOOOOWWW" I said with giant saucer eyes. Then I heard it, snap. The sound of the top coming off a little vial. Then mom squeezed this cold stuff on my neck. WHAAAAAAAA!!! I ran and hid behind the toilet in the tiny bathroom. I was stinky and I couldn't lick it off. She said it is flea prevention and we have to have it. Whatever! That is what scratching is for. I didn't talk to or look at mom the rest of the night. By morning I was sleeping on her feet again. I might start to trust her again, we will see.

Have a fun week kitty friends. We will miss you.
